Originally from small Michigan towns, I followed the urge to travel and explore different places. After graduating from Western Michigan University, I moved east and spent 12 years between Washington D.C., Alexandria and Richmond, VA, and then set off on a year long road trip with my husband (and pup) to find our forever home in Grand Junction, Colorado. The common string that links all these places together is the outdoor lifestyle, which continues to encourage my love of camping, hiking, running, photography and travel—hobbies that fuel the writing tank. Writing and Adventure. Macaroni and cheese. Some things are simply better together. A blank page. The open road.
